Oil & Gas Industry

Precision Aeration Solutions provides hazardous-duty surface aerators for oil and gas applications, including frac pits and frac tanks.

Aeration is commonly used to help reduce Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) while increasing dissolved oxygen throughout the water. As oxygen reacts with dissolved metals and other contaminants, oxidation occurs, allowing many compounds to settle to the bottom of the pit for easier management.

Benefits of Aeration in Oil & Gas Applications

Can Aeration Help Reduce Hydrocarbons?

Increasing dissolved oxygen encourages the growth of aerobic microorganisms that naturally break down hydrocarbons. As these microbes consume the contaminants, they convert them into carbon dioxide, which is safely released into the atmosphere.
